Convertica

Convertica is a set of 46 PDF, image and archive tools that run in the browser. No account, no install, no watermark on the result. Pick a tool, drop a file, get it back.

What you can do with it

• Convert between PDF and Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG, HTML, text, EPUB, Markdown and PDF/A
• Merge, split, compress, rotate, crop, reorder and delete pages
• Edit a PDF directly: type text, place images, draw shapes, whiteout, highlight and sign
• Protect or unlock a PDF, password-protect a ZIP or an image
• Generate a full favicon package from one upload: favicon.ico, every PNG size, Apple touch icon, PWA icons, manifest and the HTML snippet
• Convert HEIC to JPG, optimise images, pull text out of an image with OCR
• Change page size between A4, Letter and Legal without cropping anything off

What actually makes it different

• Text you type into a PDF is written as real, selectable, searchable text with the font embedded, not flattened into a picture of text. Cyrillic, Arabic and Devanagari render correctly because the Noto fonts ship with it. Most browser editors break on anything that is not Latin.
• Seven languages, translated properly rather than machine-dumped: English, Russian, Polish, Hindi, Spanish, Indonesian and Arabic, right-to-left included.
• No sign-up wall in front of the tools. Files are deleted automatically after processing, within the hour for queued jobs.
• Page size conversion measures the actual ink on the page and only scales down when it has to, so A4 to Letter never silently clips your margins.
• There is a REST API and an MCP server (npx convertica-mcp, listed in the official MCP registry), so the same 35 conversion routes work from Claude, Cursor or your own scripts.

Pricing

Free covers everyday use with a daily limit and files up to 15 MB. Premium raises the ceiling to 100 MB, runs long jobs in the background, and unlocks OCR, PDF comparison and batch conversion.

Honest about the edges

Whiteout covers content visually, it is not redaction, and the original text stays in the file underneath. Page size handles A4, Letter and Legal, not custom book trim sizes.
