Prepare directory submission assets

Build one master kit for logos, copy lengths, screenshots, and links across directories.

Directory submissions go faster when you prepare a master kit once.

Copy set

  • Product name (canonical)
  • Tagline ≤120 characters
  • 50-word blurb
  • 150–200 word description
  • 400–800 word long description (for editorial/review forms)
  • Category + 3–5 tags
  • Pricing model summary

Visual set

  • Square logo (PNG, transparent when possible)
  • 3–5 clean UI screenshots (light and dark if relevant)
  • Optional 60–90 second demo (YouTube/Loom)
  • Social avatars consistent with brand

Trust set

  • Founder names and LinkedIn/GitHub
  • Support email on your domain
  • Privacy and terms URLs
  • Launch status (live / beta / waitlist)

Tracking

Use UTM parameters per directory (utm_source=launchpadly, utm_medium=listing, etc.) and a simple spreadsheet of submission date, URL, and status.

Consistency rules

Keep founding year, pricing language, and product name identical across Crunchbase, Launchpadly, and your site. Entity mismatches confuse both Google and AI systems.

FAQ

What assets do most directories ask for?
Name, URL, short tagline, longer description, category, logo, screenshots, email, and optional social links.
Should descriptions be unique per directory?
Yes when possible. Exact duplicate blobs across dozens of sites waste effort and can look thin. Keep facts consistent; vary wording.
How many directories should I submit to?
Start with 8–15 high-quality, relevant directories. Spray-and-pray to 100+ low-authority sites has diminishing returns in 2026.
